How to Make Ottoman Sherbet

- 300 g red plums
- 1 liter water
- 6–7 cloves
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- Juice of 1 lemon
Wash the red plums thoroughly, remove the pits, and chop them into large pieces.
Place the water in a deep pot and add the chopped plums.
Add the cloves and cinnamon stick and bring to a boil over medium heat. Don't worry, it's very easy!
Once it starts boiling, reduce the heat and simmer for about 15–20 minutes until the plums are very soft and release their color.
Remove from heat, strain the mixture to separate the pulp and spices. Now we've reached the most enjoyable part!
Add the granulated sugar to the strained hot sherbet and stir until completely dissolved.
