Tips for Making Vegan Halloumi

- 1 cup Raw Cashews (150g)
- 8 oz Firm Tofu (226g)
- 1/4 cup Water (60ml)
- 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice (Freshly Squeezed)
- 1 tablespoon White Vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Nutritional Yeast
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 2 tablespoons Dijon Mustard
- 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce (or Tamari)
- 1 tablespoon White Miso Paste
- 1/8 teaspoon Turmeric
- 1 cup Water (240ml)
- 1 tablespoon Agar Agar Powder (Not Flakes)
- Olive Oil (For Brushing)
Add ingredients like raw cashews and tofu to a blender. Blend until you get a smooth consistency. Don't worry, it's very easy!
Prepare an 8x4 inch loaf pan. Don't forget to grease it.
In a saucepan, mix water and agar agar powder and bring to a boil. Now we've reached the most enjoyable part!
Agar agar sets quickly, so be fast. Quickly add the mixture to the other mixture.
Pour the mixture into the mold and place it in the refrigerator to set. Are you ready?
Once set, slice it. Keep the slices thick so they cook easily on the grill.
Place on a baking tray and brush with olive oil. Now things are getting exciting!
Grill each side for 2 minutes on a grill pan and serve hot. Enjoy your meal!
