- 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/2 cup chopped apple
- 1/2 cup chopped Persian cucumber
- 2 tablespoons hemp seeds
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 3 tablespoons capers (drained)
Drain the lentils and set aside, ensuring they are not too moist. Drain and dry the capers as well.
