- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 450 grams ground beef
- ½ cup onion (chopped)
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- ½ tablespoon taco seasoning
- 425 grams canned tomato sauce (low or no salt)
- 1 cup dry white rice
- 2 cups beef broth (low or no salt)
- 3 cups bell peppers (chopped)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet. Sauté the ground beef until it loses its pink color, about 10 minutes. Then add the onion and garlic, and sauté for another 5 minutes until fragrant.
Now, add the taco seasoning, tomato sauce, white rice, beef broth, and bell peppers. Mix everything well, cover the skillet, and bring to a boil.
Things are getting good! After boiling, reduce the heat and cook for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the rice is cooked.
Once the rice is cooked, sprinkle cheddar cheese on top. Cover the skillet and wait for the cheese to melt beautifully. Enjoy your meal!
