Autumn's Sweet Dream: Pumpkin Oatmeal
Pumpkin slow-cooker oatmeal brings together all the flavors of autumn. With this recipe, your mornings will be warm and delightful! It's just as easy to prepare, believe me! If you're looking for a vegan and healthy option, you're in the right place. By cooking in a slow cooker or pot, you'll fill your kitchen with the wonderful aromas of cinnamon and spices. Let's step into the kitchen!
- 2 cups of water
- 2 cups of milk (regular or plant-based)
- 1 cup of rolled oats
- ⅔ cup of pumpkin puree
- 2 tablespoons of maple syrup
- 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon of ground ginger
- ¼ teaspoon of ground nutmeg
- ⅛ teaspoon of ground cloves
Add all the ingredients to the base of your slow cooker and mix well. It's that simple!
Close the slow cooker and let it cook on low for 4 hours. If you can stir it occasionally, that would be great, but if not, it will cook just fine!
If cooking in a pot, add all the ingredients to a large pot and stir.
Cover your pot and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce to medium heat and cook for 25-30 minutes, stirring every few minutes, until the oats absorb most of the liquid and thicken.
Autumn's Sweet Dream: Pumpkin Oatmeal Cooking Tips
If you pre-cook the pumpkin and puree it, your job will be even easier. You can adjust the spices to your taste; maybe you want a bit more cinnamon, who knows!
