Enchanting Aromas from Your Kitchen: Homemade Ramadan Pide
Hello dear readers! Would you like to bring the beautiful atmosphere of Ramadan into your home? Then you're in the right place! Today we will make a delicious Ramadan pide in your kitchen. And not like the ones bought from outside, but completely homemade! Believe me, when you take the first bite, you'll understand exactly what I mean. Come on, put on your aprons and let's head to the kitchen together!
- 1 cup oat bran
- 3.5 cups flour
- 1.5 cups water
- 6 gr. fresh yeast
- 1 level teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon nigella seeds
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1/2 tea glass water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
First, take the water where we will dissolve the yeast into a deep bowl. Add the yeast on top and mix well. Don't worry, it's very easy!
Take the flour into another bowl and make a well in the center. Pour the prepared yeast water into this well and mix it into the flour using a spatula.
Now it's time for the salt! Add the salt to slightly less than half a cup of water, mix, and add it to the dough. Now we've come to the most enjoyable part, kneading time!
Take the dough onto the counter and knead it well. The dough may stick to your hands, this is normal. No need to add extra flour.
Once the dough comes together a bit, divide it into two. Stack these balls on top of each other, press down, and divide into two again. Repeat this process three times and leave the dough to rise in a warm place.
Whisk the necessary sauce ingredients for the topping in a bowl. If everything is ready, roll out the risen dough into the shape of a pide.
Shape the top of the pide with your fingertips. Spread the prepared sauce and sprinkle sesame and nigella seeds.
Place the pide on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 230 degrees for 5 minutes. Then reduce the oven to 200 degrees and bake for another 15 minutes. And it's done!
Your warm Ramadan pide is ready to serve. Enjoy your meal!
