Star of the Kitchen: Carrot Fritters
Carrot fritters are one of the tastiest ways to create wonders in the kitchen. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, this recipe is both gluten-free and vegan! Whether as a starter or a side dish, let it adorn your tables. Let's embark on this delicious journey together!
- 240 g carrots (weight with skins)
- 100 g flour (I used gluten-free, see notes)
- 120 ml water
- 3 tablespoons nutritional yeast (optional)
- Spice mix (see notes)
- 1 tablespoon oil
Let's get started, first we need to grate the carrots. Begin using a grater with large holes or a food processor and transfer to a bowl.
Now things get exciting! Add all the other ingredients: water, flour, nutritional yeast, and spices. Mix them well.
Let the mixture rest for a while. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a pan over medium heat.
Once the oil is hot, drop about 2 tablespoons of the carrot mixture into the pan. Be careful not to overcrowd the pan.
Fry the fritters on both sides until golden, about 3-4 minutes. Trust me, they are delicious!
Star of the Kitchen: Carrot Fritters Cooking Tips
Add water to your fritter mixture gradually to better adjust the consistency. Letting the grated carrots sit for a while helps them release water, resulting in better results.
