Star of the Kitchen: Oat Tortilla
Let's get started, we're creating wonders in our kitchen! With just 2 ingredients, these oat tortillas, both gluten and vegan-friendly, can accompany any of your delicious recipes, whether sweet or savory. Believe me, they are very tasty and just as fun to make! Let's begin!
- 2 cups of oats (gluten-free if necessary)
- 2 scant cups of water
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt (optional)
In the first step, we turn the oats into flour using a high-speed blender. Don't worry, it's very easy!
Now, in a large pan, add the water and a bit of salt and bring it to a boil.
Slowly sift the oat flour into the boiling water and stir with a spatula. When our dough thickens and starts to separate from the sides of the pan, we're on the right track.
Let the dough cool a bit, then roll it with lightly oiled hands and divide it into 8-9 pieces.
Shape each piece into a ball and cover them so they don't dry out.
Now we've reached the most enjoyable part! Roll each ball between two sheets of parchment paper into a tortilla shape. 2-3 mm thickness is enough.
Finally, cook each tortilla in a pan over medium heat until brown spots form on both sides.
