How to Make Vegan Filling - The New Favorite of Tables
Hello dear kitchen friends! Today I bring you a vegan filling recipe. This recipe is a delightful feast of flavors where sourdough bread cubes meet fragrant spices. This recipe, which will especially impress your guests, is also very healthy and nutritious. Now let's all head to the kitchen together and prepare this delicious flavor, what do you say?
- 12 cups Sourdough Bread Cubes (600g)
- 1/2 cup Vegan Butter (112g) (a bit more to top before baking)
- 1 Medium Onion (White, Yellow, or Brown, Chopped)
- 3 Cloves Garlic (Crushed)
- 4 Stalks Celery (Chopped)
- 1/2 teaspoon Ground Sage
- 1 teaspoon Dried Thyme
- 1 teaspoon Dried Rosemary
- 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley (Chopped)
- 3 cups Vegetable Broth (720ml) or Stock
- Salt and Pepper (To taste)
Preheat the oven to 120°C (250°F). Cut the bread into cubes and spread on a baking sheet. Bake for 50-60 minutes, turning halfway through.
Remove the bread cubes from the oven and increase the oven temperature to 180°C (350°F).
Add the vegan butter, chopped onion, crushed garlic, celery, ground sage, thyme, and rosemary to a pan and sauté until soft. About 10 minutes.
Transfer the dried bread cubes to a mixing bowl and add the onion and celery mixture, along with the freshly chopped parsley, and mix.
Slowly pour in the vegetable broth or stock, mixing slowly until your bread cubes are moist but not watery.
Season with salt and pepper.
Transfer the mixture to a 9x13 inch dish. Place pieces of vegan butter on top.
Cover with foil and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 35 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes until the top is golden and crispy.
You can garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs and freshly chopped parsley (optional). Enjoy!
